Quantitative Approach

metrics to continually measure progress to the project plan.
Metrics are used to measure time, effort, dollars, deliverables, and
quality. Metrics are developed to
pro-actively adjust plans and tactics to ensure the project is timely and cost
effective.
There are standard project types of metrics
that are captured and measured via the project plan.
Brainville, Inc. goes beyond these, however, to provide additional
information on defects, rate of repair, and task completion percentages.
We attempt to develop metrics that measure the key aspects and to provide
the rationale for objectively stating progress on long duration deliverables.
The metrics are chosen for suitability as
well as for incorporating into statistical analysis.
Brainville, Inc. employs statistics throughout the project to ensure that
the right metrics are used to demonstrate real, rather than illusory, progress.
